Hailing from Mexico City, La Bendición (The Blessing) is a prime example of the younger generation keeping the tradition of classic salsa alive while adding their own signature elements.

Founded as a collaboration between Gabriel Malgarejo, Julian Bernal, Giovanis Alcántara and Michael Rincon. The project pays homage to the afro-carribean sound while fusing subtle urban elements and style. Featuring strong melodic horn lines and vocal coro’s of 70’s salsa dura while sprinkling in urban stylings in the lead vocals. Adding a nice new touch of the era.
